【敬僧日Māgha Pūjā】简介

每年十五的布萨日（即农曆正月十五）是敬僧节

* 诸佛弟子集会 Savaka Sannipata Magha Puja 的意义

Atha satthā te manusse ehibhikkhupabbajjāya pabbājetvā antosattāheyeva sabbe arahatte patiṭṭhāpetvā māghapuṇṇamāya koṭisatabhikkhumajjhagato caturaṅgasamannāgate sannipāte pātimokkhamuddisi. Caturaṅgāni nāma

四支相同的沙门弟子集会

1．sabbeva ehibhikkhū honti,
      皆是以「来比丘」的出家方式的阿罗汉
2．sabbe chaḷabhiññā honti,
      皆有六神通
3．sabbe anāmantitāva āgatā,
      都无约定而来
4．pannarasūposathadivaso cāti
     十五的布萨日(即农曆正月十五)

Imāni cattāri aṅgāni nāma. Ayaṃ dutiyo sannipāto ahosi. Tena vuttaṃ –

诸佛皆行的大弟子集会mahasannipata, 都在Magha月的月圆日，释迦佛45年中只遇到一次(即成道后第九个月magha月)。未来美德雅(梵语弥勒)佛，佛寿在六万四千岁入灭前只遇到三次(北传称「龙华三会」)
而每尊佛在此殊胜集会中会宣说「教诫巴帝摩卡」，共有三偈。

【Celebrating Māgha Pūjā Day】

The day more than 2,500 years ago when 4 wonderful things happened:

• 1,250 Buddhist monks met spontaneously, without prior scheduling.
• All 1,250 were enlightened monks (arahats).
• Each was ordained personally by the Buddha.
• And it all of this happened on a full moon, the first in March (the month of Magha).

Because of these four things, Māgha Pūjā Day is sometimes known as Fourfold Assembly Day. Or, because of the community of monks, Saṅgha Day.

The first important Māgha Pūjā Day was only months after the Buddha's own enlightenment, one of the earliest large gatherings of Buddhists.

In Buddhist countries, it's a lovely holiday. At every Buddhist temple, Buddhists gather after dark. They bring flowers, incense, & candles. With candles lit, they circle the temple's main hall 3 times, once for each of the Three Jewels of Buddhism: the Buddha, the Saṅgha, and the Dhamma (the teachings of the Buddha). The moon is bright, and the candles flicker in the night as they're carried clockwise around the uposatha hall.

All are welcome to participate this meritorious practice for the benefit of all sentient beings.

布萨日 Uposatha Observance Day

布萨日是在家居士精进修习梵行的斋戒日。当天，在家居士可以去到当地的寺院，亲近僧众，听闻佛法，受持八戒，佈施与禅修等等。亦可于家中佛像前自授布萨八戒或是慈心九戒。

正念的持戒所带来的善果报是：

1. 得大财富
2. 有好名声
3. 无畏
4. 死时心不迷惑
5. 死后投生善趣（人间或天界）

Feb 26 2021 is Uposatha observance day, lay people are encouraged to observe the Uposatha Eight Precepts.
(The Thai calendar is February 26)

Sādhu! Sādhu! Sādhu!

Uposatha Day is a Buddhist day of observance where lay people will dedicate themselves to the practice of Dhamma. On this day, lay people can go to the local monastery to associate with the monastic, listen to the Dhamma, observe the Eight Precepts, practice dāna and meditation etc.

By mindfully observing precepts, one will:

1. Gain riches
2. Have good reputation
3. Fearless
4. The mind would not be confused at death
5. Reborn to good realm after death (human or deva realm)
